June Events To Look Forward to


Hi Ground Culture fam,


June is here and we're not going to let the Cape Town winter win.


While everyone else is debating whether to leave the house, we've been quietly putting together the a great month of events.  Comedy, improv, parody, quiz nights, live performances, and the FIFA World Cup!!



Show starts: 8:00pm

 

Cape Town's favourite comedy night is back. Hosted by the brilliant Jaryd Pillay, Grounded Comedy Night brings together some of the best up-and-coming and established South African comedians for a night of honest, hilarious, and unapologetically real comedy. On the line up this week: Nate Levinrad, Paul Lee, Phil de Lange and headlined by Lindy Johnson.





Show starts: 8:00pm

 

Reject AI, embrace Parody at Volume 3! What is a Parody Night? Well, it features comedic songs, art, funny people telling stories and downright silly songs. It's fun and a heallluva fun night out. Tickets are R150.




9, 10 and 13th of June, Conrad Koch comes to back to Ground Culture. If you've never seen Conrad and Chester Missing live, this is your moment. Chester says what no one else will, in the funniest, most uncomfortably accurate way imaginable. Saturday is SOLD OUT so grab Tuesday and Wednesday tickets while they last. 




Thursday 11 June is one for the history books. South Africa vs Mexico in the FIFA World Cup opening match, right here at Ground Culture. We'll have the screen up, the food flowing and the energy high. RSVP to secure your spot because this one is going to fill up.


The name says everything. South Africa's top comedians on our stage, in the most intimate comedy club setting in Cape Town. This is the show you bring someone to when you really want to impress them. R150 a ticket.



THURSDAY 25 June: Almost Friday with The Long Shots 

Three people, no script, total chaos. Their improv show is different every single time and it is genuinely one of the most joyful things you can do on a Thursday evening in this city. R100 a ticket.

We also have Monday Quiz Nights running every week. Hosted by Inquizitorious Rex, they're the perfect way to start the week feeling clever and sociable. Bring a team of four and come prepared to argue very passionately about answers you were definitely right about.
